DIY All Purpose Vinegar Free Cleaner
Just a couple of ingredients and “Voila!” your all-natural cleaner is ready to use! This homemade, all-purpose cleaner is made without vinegar. Instead, it uses distilled (or filtered) water. This DIY cleaner “removes” germs and bacteria (“removes” - not kills, as this is a “cleaning” spray and not a “disinfectant” spray).
Ingredients
Instructions
-
- Add the water to the spray bottle, followed by the castile soap (or Sal Suds), and (if using) essential oil of choice.
- Place the spray nozzle on the glass bottle, close, and shake the bottle gently to combine the ingredients. You will want to do this each time you use the cleaner, particularly if it has been sitting for a while and the ingredients have settled or separated.
- Spray a cloth or the surface directly, then use a damp cloth to clean the surface.
- IMPORTANT! ALWAYS, always perform a spot test first in a tiny area BEFORE spraying this cleaner on any surface, particularly sensitive or older surfaces. This applies to all cleaning products.
- Makes 16 ounces of natural cleaner
** My personal preferences are lavender, rosemary, spearmint, or sage. (If you choose to combine any of these EO’s, I suggest using equal parts lavender and rosemary OR spearmint and sage). Have fun experimenting with other combinations when making additional cleaning sprays. Lemon or grapefruit EOs also make a nice DIY spray cleaner!
Note
I HAVE USED THIS CLEANER ON (after spot-testing) …
Sinks and tubs
Kitchen counters and tables
Dusting surfaces (recommend using a lint-free cloth with cleaner)
Doorknobs and light switches
Stainless steel surfaces
Bathroom counters
Dirty toys
Interior car surfaces
