Hope’s Fire Cider Tonic

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Put everything in a quart jar. Make sure liquid covers everything and leave 1 inch of head space at top of jar for expansion. Cover top with plastic wrap and screw on lid. (prevents acid corrosion on lid)

    Place on pantry shelf away from sun or heat. Shake daily for 4 plus weeks to all maceration. Then strain and * add 1 cup of honey or more for your taste. Put into a glass jar. Label and date.

    Store in refrigerator for 6 months shelf life and use.

    • Dosage: 1 tsp every 3 hours until symptoms subside or 1 shot a day to keep the doctor away.

    • Things that can be added to mix: rosemary sprig, 1 TBSP dried Elderberries, 1/4 tsp of whole cloves. Also: 1⁄2 tsp of things like dried mullein, stinging nettle, thyme, dried rose hips, dried calendula flowers or oregano. Add a cinnamon stick.
